Bath Christmas Market 2026: A Guide for Airbnb Hosts

Ashton Taylor · Founder & Director 8 October 2026 3 min read

Bath Christmas Market runs from Thursday 26 November to Sunday 13 December 2026. For anyone letting a property in or near the city, those eighteen days are among the busiest of the year, and the hosts who do well are the ones who prepared in October.

The dates and hours

The market is open Monday to Wednesday 10am to 7pm, Thursday to Saturday 10am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. It covers three weekends: 27 to 29 November, 4 to 6 December and 11 to 13 December. Dates and hours are from the official market website.

1. Price every night on its own

A Saturday night in market season is worth far more than a Tuesday. One rate for the whole period undersells the weekends and overprices the midweek. Set each night against the demand for that night.

2. Set a two-night minimum at weekends

A one-night Saturday booking leaves the Friday empty. A two-night minimum on the three market weekends protects both nights.

3. Open your calendar and check it

Guests book market weekends weeks ahead. Make sure the dates are open, the price is right and nothing is blocked by mistake.

4. Tell guests how to arrive

City centre car parks fill early on market days. Before they travel, send guests the Park & Ride sites at Lansdown, Newbridge and Odd Down, and the walking route from Bath Spa station.

5. Book your changeovers

Back-to-back stays leave a few hours between one guest and the next. Confirm your cleaner and your linen for every changeover now, and line up a backup.

6. Check the heating

Test the heating and hot water before the first cold weekend, and leave clear instructions for the thermostat. A cold flat is the fastest route to a poor review in December.

7. Add a festive touch

A wreath on the door, a few lights and a short guide to the market, with opening hours and places to eat nearby, cost little and get mentioned in reviews. Tell guests to book restaurants ahead.

Outside the city

When Bath fills, the towns around it pick up the bookings. Bradford on Avon and Chippenham are a short train ride from Bath Spa, so homes there should be priced for market weekends too.

After the market

Christmas and New Year follow, then January turns quiet. Plan for it now: lower rates, longer stays and a deep clean while the calendar is light. See the local events that drive demand through the year and how dynamic pricing maximises revenue.
